April of 2024. Gymnastics team only rosters once per year; those interested but not yet ready will have another opportunity in Spring of 2025.
At a minimum, athletes must have all of the following skills consistently to qualify for team:
Vault: Run to Handstand flatback
Bar: Straight leg pullover, Cast with hollow back, Back hip circle with straight legs, an Undershoot
Beam: A ½ turn on 1 or 2 feet (Squat, Pivot, Passe), One jump or leap (Split, Stretch), An acro element (Lever, ¾ Handstand, Roll), A cartwheel to side handstand dismount
Floor: Two directly connected acro skills (round off back roll, forward roll connected to a cartwheel, etc), Leap with 60° Split connected to a jump (Tuck, Wolf, Stag Jump, Hitch Kick), ½ passe turn.
Athletes with higher level skills may be eligible to place directly into the Silver level.
Athletes train between 4 and 7 hours per week depending on their level.
Bronze athletes: $165/month
Silver/Gold athletes: $195/month
Competition fees can range from $1500/year to $1800/year depending on level, the number of meets you attend, and rather or not you have some gear from the previous year.
Competitive fees include: Entry fees to competitions, Floor routine music, Custom competition leotard, warm up jacket, slide shoes, and team competition bag, Warm up legging and shorts, Personalized award banners and pins, and personalized choreography sessions (Gold only).
At this time we estimate all levels will compete in five competitions--four in Reno and one in Las Vegas. An additional pre-season meet may be offered in Las Vegas in Fall for those who opt in. Gold athletes may qualify for Regionals; Regionals (for qualifying athletes level Gold and higher) could be held anywhere in CA, NV, AZ, or UT.
Pre-season begins in October, Regular season begins in January, State Championships are in March, and Regionals are in May.
