Numbers, hours, and travel information may be adjusted each season.
Team tryouts take place annually in spring, normally in late March to mid April. In addition to formal tryouts, TOPGUN also selects a group of athletes each fall to participate in preteam classes and/or a trial meet with the team.
Anyone interested in competing should get in touch with Coach Jenna or Coach Mimi to let us know that is something your athlete would like to work toward.
At a minimum, athletes must have all of the following skills consistently to qualify for team:

Athletes train between 4 and 8 hours per week depending on their level. Athletes can expect 2-3 nights per week in the gym. Gold and Platinum athletes may have additional practices, including Saturdays, to meet training needs. Most of our practices are only 2 hours per night.
For the 25-26 season tuition fees are as follows:
Trial Meet Bronzes: $160/month
Team Bronze athletes: $165/month
Silver-Platinum athletes: $205/month
Competition fees vary by level, by how many meets the athlete attends, and by if the athlete is reusing some gear from the previous year.
Competitive fees include: Entry fees to competitions, Floor routine music, Custom competition leotard, warm up jacket, slide shoes, and team competition bag, Warm up legging and shorts, Personalized award banners and pins, and personalized choreography sessions (Gold+ only).
Approximate costs are as follows:
Team Bronzes: Around $1,000 - $1,300 per year
Silver, Gold, & Platinum: Around $1,500 - $2,000 per year
Bronzes: 2-4 meets per season with travel only to Reno (except the years State is in Vegas)
Silvers: 4-5 meets per season with required travel (Las Vegas or Nor Cal)
Golds and Platinums: 5-7 meets per season with required travel (Vegas or Nor Cal)
Gold and Platinum athletes may qualify for Regionals; Regionals could be held anywhere in CA, NV, AZ, or UT.
Pre-season begins in October, Regular season begins in January, State Championships are in March, and Regionals are in April.
